About Us:

The Delaware Consumer Health Information Services program started serving the citizens of Kent County in 2003 and expanded coverage to include Sussex County in 2004. Funding comes from a grant provided by Delaware Health and Social Service's Division of Public Health. Dover Public Library and Rehoboth Beach Public Library are the host libraries providing space and resources for the consumer health librarians. The Delaware Academy of Medicine is the sponsoring organization and has over 75 years of experience serving the health information needs of hospitals, physicians, dentists and consumers throughout the state.

Mission:

The Mission of the Delaware Consumer Health Information Services Program is to partner with individuals and communities to promote a healthy Delaware. We provide unbiased, knowledgeable resources, outreach, and education so Delawareans can make informed health care decisions.
